Bloomingdale Troop 86
Troop 86 of Bloomingdale has been serving the scouting needs of families in Bloomingdale and surrounding towns since 2006. We are a Scout-lead troop. Our meetings are held at the Bloomingdale United Methodist Church in Troxler Hall at 65 Main Street in Bloomingdale, NJ. Our program consists of monthly outdoor activities including camping, hiking, rafting, and much more. We continue to serve our community through town clean-ups, food drives, and taking on specific town or organization projects. What is the age requirements for Scouting America and how do we join?
Troop 86 Bloomingdale is accepting registrations for interested individuals between the ages of 11-17. If your child is not yet 11, contact Pack 86 to learn about Cub Scouts and Weblos.
Can girls join Scouting America?
Yes! We encourage girls to join Scouting America at all levels.
When are the meetings and what can my future scout expect?
Meetings are held weekly on Wednesday nights from 7:30 - 9:00 at Troxler Hall at 65 Hamburg Turnpike (Main Street), next to the Bloomingdale UMC. What type of activities does Troop 86 do?
Weekend camping, rock climbing, ATVs, summer camp, community service projects, hiking, biking, and more. Troop 86 is a scout-led troop meaning the scouts choose and plan activities with the guidance of troop leadership.
Is there a fee to join Scouting America?
Yes. The Northern New Jersey Council sets annual membership fees. Some outings may incur a fee.
